My name is Krishon Pinkins (AA ’24). I'm here to tell you about my Arrupe College experience.

  • Major: AA in Liberal Arts, Pre-STEM
  • High School: John Marshall High School
  • Involvements: Black Student Union, Graphic Novel Club, and Black Men’s For Success

How I chose my degree:
To continue with a bachelor's in computer science.

My plans after graduation:
Starting in the fall I would be attending Loyola University here in Chicago.

Professor a new student should absolutely take a class with:
Professor Ahumada because her class helps to process and rationalize the world around us.

Class I never expected to love:
I never expected to love Studio Art because I don't have an art background, but it was great because I got to challenge myself.

Favorite spot on campus:
My favorite place on Loyola’s campus is the Arrupe Art Room because I like working on art while talking to my friends.

What was your favorite moment during your time at Loyola?
My favorite moment during my time at Loyola was playing Monopoly for hours after school with a bunch of my friends.

Some surprisingly cool things about Arrupe:
Arrupe has the unique ability to understand where you are and how to elevate you to the next level.

What advice do you have for the incoming class?
Be openminded!
